No, H-Lounge has its "Own" style for its site. Using drawings for the user Icon is absolutly a great idea.
1] No Spacewhores would come here, because they wouldnt have the chance to show off their bodies to people (By using their Icon) :p
2] You can have your picture on your Icon, but it would be in a drawing form, if you read the rules on getting more points or whatever they are. You can change your avatar to anything that you like. All you have to do is just send in a picture of anything. :p
Well, thats if you have enough points of course. :p |

1) Ok if we can't upload are own pics then we should be able to edit the pics a little bit but still keep them in the cartoon form kinda like I did for my competition called BATTLE OF THE BEST check it out in the competitions forum.
2) But If we can't do that then they should let us have our own were we send in a pic and they make it into the cartoon style they do for free or for like 100,000 lc or less.
Letting people do this would give each person a unique avitar to be noticed by. |

there is only one guy making the avatars which is facemelter so imagine u having to draw 9,987 avatars for people whom half will only log in 5 times and never come back if u want people to see u go to myspace  |

Yeah we debate this topic a lot...
On one hand, yeah, the site has it's own style because the avatars have some consistency... if you let anyone upload it gets a little more chaotic, but it would allow more customization. We also try to keep adding more standard avatars to the queue so there's lots to pick from...
Also I think it's cool that a custom avatar can be 'anything'... not just a cartoon version of yourself.
Second there's policing the images so people don't upload copyrighted material, porn etc.
And yeah, you can have your own avatar made, it's just pretty expensive at the moment so only the rockstar-types end up with them, people who pimped out a ton of music.
But, we also give 'em away pretty regularly to people who sell a lot of ringtones, win contests, or otherwise go crazy to do something to promote the website... so you can get one that way too, by being a generally awesome member of the Lounge.
But, we are possibly looking at making it a feature or a 'premium account' type thing - uploading a photo/photos of yourself for a certain number of Loungecakes... pretty much all the things we add at this point are suggestions by you guys (we are listening)... so if that's something you want us to set up, make some noise.
