Is there a way to tell what note it is on Hyperscore? I'm horrible at being able to tell the note just by year and I'm trying to copy sheet music so I actually know how it sounds.
Thanks

In Hyperscore Melody Windows and Sketch Windows, middle C is located in the vertical center of the window. So, if you put a note right on the dark line running across a Melody Window, it will sound at C.

There are faint lines running horizontally in both types of windows. The space between each line is a semitone. In the Melody Window, the notes snap exactly on these lines, so it is easy to figure out the pitch of a note by the interval from middle C. The top- and bottom-most positions in the Melody Window are C an octave above and below.

Finding pitches in the windows will be even easier in the next version of Hyperscore, which highlights diatonic intervals, fifths, and octaves.

By the way, make sure you have the rights to use the music, if you are going to post the final product to the community. (See this thread, Terms of Use, FAQs: Making Ringtones)
