that site could definitely use some improvement...
...make your menu a bit more accessible and obvious. usually the left or top of the screen and a good contrast between your menu text color and your background color will help keep it sticking out...
...also, when you put a ton of animated gifs on a site, it becomes less likely to be read and more likely to cause epileptic fits. keep it simple and easy to read...
...i do web design as a job to supplement the band's income. you can see some of my work at www.MinusMyThoughts.com. it's all done in Flash, so it's a different medium than you were using, but it's a bit more clear and easier to read. it's mostly incomplete, but all the navigation works...
