With Hyperscore 4.3, there are now three techniques for creating chords.

One traditional method is to use Chord Droplets, placing droplets in the Sketch Window with the Droplet Tool. The color of the droplet indicates the type of chord generated. The components of the chords are subject to alteration by the harmony algorithm. The drawback of this method is that chord droplets are of a fixed duration. See the "Droplet Tool" section of the User Guide for more information.

Another technique is to overlay notes from several monophonic strokes. However, as of 4.3, polyphonic motives allow you to create chords by placing notes concurrently within a Melody Window. This can be done as part of a larger musical phrase or you can create just a chord of any duration and use that throughout your composition. See the most recent LoungeTalk column for more.
