The bluish line running throughout the center of the Sketch Window is the Harmony Line. It can be used to control the harmony that Hyperscore automatically generates over the course of a composition when using a Harmony Mode other than None (i.e. General or Classical). With harmony enabled, the Harmony Line may be used to add interest and variation to a piece.

In general, there are two types of gesture that can be created with the Harmony Line by shaping it with the Arrow Tool. In Classical Mode, smooth contours create green and blue regions during which the piece may modulate away from and resolve to the tonic, thereby introducing sections of tension and resolution. In either Classical or General mode, a spike in the Harmony Line (yellow region) will result in a change in key.

For more information, please review the section "The Harmony Line" of the Hyperscore User Guide.
